Next Joshikai: August 12!
On Thursday, August 12th, we'll meet for an evening of networking, girl talk, and happy hour drinks (all evening!) at Kyo-ya, a conveniently located Japanese bar / restaurant in downtown San Francisco. Mingle, chat and share stories with other women in English and / or Japanese. Any skill level of Japanese is welcome, and this will be a great... opportunity to practice your Japanese and connect with women who have similar interests. Feel free to join us whenever is convenient, and bring friends! We have their lounge area reserved, as well as seats at the bar.
Kyo-ya's manager has offered us happy hour prices all evening, which means $3 for Sapporo draft beer and $6 for cocktails (including the Lychee Martini, Sake Mojito,and Asian Pear Martini). They also have free bar bites, including edamame and salad, as well as food for purchase, like gyoza ($8), kara-age ($12), and a sushi combo plate ($20).

8月の会合は乳がん検診の勉強会を予定してましたが、講師の方の都合により延期となりました。ご出席を予定されてた方ごめんなさい。都合整い次第、再度お誘い申し上げます。
ということで、今は急きょハッピ―アワーの会になりました。
京やというちょうどサンフランシスコのダウンタウンにある日本風のバーでやります。なんとハッピ―アワーが９時まで延長です！ビールは＄３、カクテルは＄６（ライチのマティーニ、お酒のモヒートなど）です。ただのアペタイザー（えだまめ、サラダなど）も用意してありますし、餃子（＄８）、唐揚げ（＄１２）なども注文もできます。ラウンジスペースは予約しましたのでゆっくりできると思います。
今回も特にゲストスピーカーの方はいませんのでみんなでリラックスしながらおしゃべり、情報交換、ネットワークをしましょう。もちろんお友達も誘ってどしどしお越し下さい。（やっぱり今回も男子禁制です。）
