Women of Joshikai (Part 1)

We've been amazed by the fascinating, accomplished, and intriguing women who've come to Joshikai events. Some of these women also happen to have websites, so we thought we'd share...

- Mieko Mochizuki Swartz

Not only is Mieko-san the organizer of Wai Wai (monthly Japanese language meet-ups in SF - http://www.geocities.jp/waiwai_sanfrancisco/english.html), she's also a translator and author (http://www.motenai-japan.com/) -- and was our guest speaker in February (thanks again!).

- Lenore Espanola

Lenore Espanola designs fantastic, eco-friendly bags made from recycled newspaper and magazines. Check out her work at www.lenorecollection.com !

- Tomoko Maruyama

- Rochelle Kopp

An expert on Japanese culture and business practices, Rochelle Kopp is founder of Intercultural Consulting, an international training and consulting firm focused on Japanese business.
